FOE Law


Our laws are in accordance with the will of Foebeus. Heed them

1) Travel in the Dark Empire is forbidden to non-FOE positions without special permission from a FOE priest.
2)
The weak shall be persecuted and have no rights.
3)
Opponents of the FOE shall not be eradicated. One third of all colonists captured in battle will become work slaves, one third will be sacrificed to Foebius, and the other third will be spared so that they may serve the Empire.
4)
It is forbidden to destroy goods without purpose, even under threat of capture by the enemy as they may be recaptured at a later time.
5)
To decieve and falsely negotiate or trade, for personal gain, is honorable. However, no FOE may break a written contract signed by any FOE priest.

TCA Law

1) The TCA is the ultimate legal authority in the Trans-Canally systems. All indviduals operating in TCA space are subject to the laws and provisions of the TCA Charter where applicable. All laws are subject to the restrictions specified in the TCA Charter.
2)
No outside race or affiliation may operate any position within the Trans-Canally systems without the expressed permission of the Interior Ministry.
3)
No outside race or affiliation may interfere with the development of sentient or near-sentient races inhabiting these systems, alter or effect the ecology of a planet or planetoid, extract, mine or remove ores without the expressed approval of the Interior Ministry.
4)
No artifacts may be removed by outside forces without the approval of the Interior or Technology Ministries. All information regarding the discovery and subsequent research of any artifact or unusual item, whether of a natural or artificial origin will be reported to the Ministers of Knowledge or Interior.
5)
No act of aggression may be perpetrated by an outside force on any TCA member race without the leave of the TCA Executive Council.
6)
It is illegal for a position operating within the Trans-Canally systems to trade, harbor or abet a position posted by the Alliance.
7)
The Trans-Canally systems are the property of the member races of the TCA as specified by the TCA Charter or are held by the TCA for the common good of the Alliance. At no time shall ownership of territory be ceded to an outside force for any reason. Colonies and outposts beloning to foreign investors operate at the pleasure of the Alliance and are subject to strictures and limitations placed upon them.
8)
Any position operating within the auspices of the TCA may request protection or sanctuary by the TCA. The Justicar shall determine the validity of any claim and the extent of protection or sanctuary granted.
9)
The Minister of Security is the ultimate arbiter of any dispute between non-TCA affiliations. Disputes between a foreign interest and a TCA member race shall be mediated by the Security Ministry, but the TCA member race has the option of appealing the decision as specified in the TCA Charter.
10)
No foreign ships armed for war will be permitted in the Trans-Canally systems without prior approval of the Minister of Security. No ships capable of being armed for war over 49 hulls will be permitted in these systems without the prior approval of the Minister of Security.
11)
The Justicar may, at any time, disallow any position from continued operation if it is shown to constitute a threat to the security of the Alliance.
12)
It shall be legal for any ministry to collect fees or taxes for services or favors granted by their authority. All fees collect must be deposited in the Bank of the TCA. Only the various ministries may collect fees. Client or foreign interests are forbidden to do so.
13)
A position is granted the right to self-defense against any non-TCA position. An attack on a TCA or TCA-protected position will be regarded as an act of war unless suitable justification can be presented to the Justicar or the Minister of Security.
